During the last 38 years over 20,000 churches have chosen Polylon Robes

Polylon Robes was founded in Dallas, Texas in 1973 by Earl and Carolyn Little. The name Polylon was selected because it represented the unique blend of material that is used to make the Polylon robe. Before 1973, most baptismal services were defined by a heavy cloth robe that proved to be quite an embarrassing factor for everyone involved. The Littles searched for a different approach. Their aim was to offer a new fashion that was modest, convenient, and durable. The concept was a hit, and Polylon Robes was launched. Over the past 38 years, over 20,000 different churches worldwide have been using the Polylon baptismal robe. Polylon Robes develops and produces a distinctive line of baptismal robes and accessories, which it markets under Polylon Robes.

WHY POLYLON?

MODEST - The thickness of the heavy nylon material, with a special backing, combined with the culotte design provides modesty. The Polylon Robe is opaque (can not see-through) even when wet, will not float up during the baptismal service, and will not cling as you are exiting the pool.

DURABLE - The original Polylon robes that we made in 1973, are still being used today. At the peak of baptisms in our church, we were baptizing over 400 people each year. The robes should last for many years!

CONVENIENT - The Polylon Robe is not only convenient to use, but carries so little water from the baptistry that clean up is simple. The one-piece design allows converts to remove their clothing, step into the robe, zip it up and enter the baptistry in seconds. Afterwards, they come back to the dressing room, slip off the robe, hang it on a hanger, dry off and get back into their clothes in just a few minutes. The nylon with our special backing simply sheds water. Water beads up and rolls off into the pool. Very little water is carried out of the pool. To care for the robes, simply wash them in cool water with delicate agitation and drip dry.
